As a trumpeter, David Binnig uses live electronics to expand the timbral and harmonic possibilities of his instrument.
His playing draws on modal jazz, ambient improvisation, medieval liturgical music, and 20th century minimalism.
He currently plays with Portland trio Black Chamber.
